BaSE Bangladesh is a not-for-profit fair trade organization that empowers disadvantaged women with employment and skills to craft housewares and apparel. They purchase jute and other natural raw materials from local producers, prioritize biodegradable and recyclable crafts, and have solar panels and rain water harvesting systems for their office. BaSE is owned by producer groups made up of more than 10,000 marginalized women. Together they create more than 3,000 handmade products. Every year, 50 percent of profits are contributed to the Father John Memorial Fund and used to support producers and their families with housing and property loans, education and medical grants, equipment, performance bonuses, and other services. BaSE is a member of the World Fair Trade Organization.

Amuura Beach House can organize traditional Ayurvedic massage and is ideal for yoga, swimming, and beach jogging. There are also facilities for beach volleyball and badminton.

The partners design a custom school improvement plan and actively engage teachers, parents, and other community members to implement it. Black Baza strengthens coffee farming practices that conserve biodiversity, enables coffee producers to enjoy secure and stable livelihoods, and invites coffee drinkers to participate in the process. They work with farmers to produce shade-grown coffee with a goal of at least 60 percent tree canopy cover and a minimum of 20 species of indigenous trees per acre. Participating farmers cultivate without agrichemical pesticides, protect water sources, and monitor biodiversity. Black Baza provides livelihood security through stable fair trade prices, financial inclusion, and long-term guaranteed contracts. Packaging is made of sugarcane waste and compostable bioplastic. Black Baza Coffee is available online in single packs and by subscription and through cafes and specialty food stores. Local customers are encouraged to visit the Black Baza office with their own containers to purchase in bulk at discounted prices.

They specialize in building low energy homes using modular construction, timber frames, and Passivhaus standards that require 90% less heating than traditional homes. Approximately one third of the housing they offer is sheltered accommodation for elderly or vulnerable persons. All profits are reinvested into their Creating Futures Academy, which creates volunteering, training and employment opportunities for tenants and local people. Creating Enterprise also holds the license to run the Social Enterprise Academy for Wales and offers learning and development programs focused on leadership, coaching, social impact, and mentorship. They are a registered Community Interest Company and have Social Enterprise Mark accreditation.

JIPPO was established as a not-for-profit organization in 2008 by Jodo Shinshu Hongwanji-ha, a Buddhist group in Japan.  The name means “ten directions” in Japanese, and their work is based on the Buddhist principle that all things in our world are interdependent and interconnected. JIPPO’s mission is to foster an interconnected society where individuals respect one another, and everyone can thrive in peace and harmony.  They promote environmentally responsible tea cultivation in Sri Lanka and coffee cultivation in East Timor, import fair trade tea and coffee to Japan, and organize study tours for Japanese citizens to learn about life in other countries. JIPPO has also supported disaster response and recovery initiatives in the Philippines, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Japan, including a rapeseed farming project in Fukushima to remove cesium from the topsoil.

Working with over 600 farmers, Karma sources their arabica and single origin beans directly from small co-operatives in Nepal. They work closely with the local farmers to improve their livelihoods–part of every sale goes directly towards purchasing uniforms for their children, food for their families, and assistance rebuilding after the major earthquake of 2015. The two community cafes are located in Gyan Mandala, Lalitpur and Karma HUB in Thamel, where they regularly show films and host events highlighting the work of organizations with social and environmental impacts. Karma partners with 32 different local artisan groups to produce and sell handicrafts made from upcycled wood, metal, ceramics and paper. Karma is also the home of Socialtours, a conscious, sustainability certified, and internationally awarded travel company that provides unique and hands-on experiences for tourists in Nepal.

Hope Catering specializes in high quality buffets and contract catering using fresh, locally sourced produce. Hope Tools refurbishes broken gardening equipment and other tools for resale and offers sharpening and repair services. Hope Food Club enables people on low incomes to buy food at significantly discounted prices. Hope Gardening operates community gardening projects for food production and therapy, offers gardening courses and garden maintenance services, and supplies fresh produce to community centers and the food club. Hope Charity Shop is a popup shop that sells affordable clothing and household goods to people on tight budgets. All profits are returned to their parent charity, Northampton Hope Centre, which has been serving people in need since 1974. Hope Enterprises has Social Enterprise Mark accreditation.

They have two outlets in the Kathmandu Valley and export clothing, accessories, and housewares to partners and supporters around the world. Mahaguthi preserves traditional cultural skills and offers fair wages, allowances for food and travel, onsite daycare, a producer welfare fund, medical assistance, advance payments, grants, loans, technical support, and capacity building programs. Forty percent of profits are used to provide women and children of the Tulsi Mehar Mahila Ashram with food, shelter, clothing, health care, education, and training. Mahaguthi is a member of the World Fair Trade Organization, founding member of Fair Trade Group Nepal, supports other fair trade groups, and actively advocates for sustainable trade development.

Organic cacao products, coconut kernel products, seeds, nuts, grains, dried fruits, and superfood supplements like maca, camu camu, acai, matcha, spirulina, barley grass, and wheat grass are sourced from other farmer cooperatives in Indonesia, Peru, Pakistan, Turkey, Thailand, and Sri Lanka. Whenever possible, products are distributed in bulk to minimize packaging. Family Farm Organics visits farms every year to establish personal connections and to assess working conditions and production processes. They have organic certification from the USDA and EU.
