Click the chat icon in the bottom menu to see the Community area. You need to be logged in to access this part of the site. Currently, the Community area includes chats with enterprises and Good Market help and a public forum where you can ask and answer questions. Group chats are under development.

Forum

In the Forum section, you can see a list of all the questions that have been asked in the community. In the future, it will be possible to filter questions by location and topic.

  • The green chat icon shows the number of replies.
 
  • The red heart icon shows the number of likes and follows for that thread.
 
  • The blue tags are key Good Market topics that are built into the site and are linked to the feed. The gray tags were created by community members.
 
  • The date shows the most recent activity in that thread. 
 

Click a thread to open it.

Community Conversations

Participate

Clicking the Reply button in a thread opens a text box. Click the camera icon to add an image. Click the X to cancel. Click the ✓ to publish. When you reply, it will send an email notification to everyone else that has participated in that thread.

 

You can tag a Good Market approved enterprise in a reply by typing @ and their profile name. When the reply is published, the profile name will link to their profile page.

 

Click the heart icon to like and follow the thread. If you like and follow a thread, future replies will appear in your feed. Liking a conversation does not send out email notifications.

 

If you find a conversation or reply that does not meet community guidelines, please contribute to the community by flagging it for removal. Click the flag icon, select a reason that you think the content should be removed, and click submit.

 

Community members are able to edit or delete their own posts and replies. Click the top right corner of your reply to open the drop-down menu. Select Edit or Delete.

Invite Contacts

If you know someone that could contribute to a conversation or answer a question, invite them to join. Clicking the ​Invite button opens a popup with a template for the invite mail. You can use the sample text or add your own to personalize the invite. The same invite can be sent to multiple email addresses at one time. 

 

You can see the invites you have sent from your personal account page. If your contact clicks the link in your invite email and signs up, you will receive 1 point. If they fill the application form and become Good Market approved, you will receive an additional 10 points for contributing to the community.

Ask a Question

Before asking a question in the community forum, take a minute to read the Good Market community guidelines. Then click the New button on the Community home page. This will open the New Question page.

 

The title will appear in the forum list. You can add more detail in the description section below. You can also upload an image.

 

Tags help keep the forum organized. You can tag with a sector, a location, a language or a relevant keyword. If you choose an existing Good Market tag, it is more likely to appear in the personalized feed of other community members. You can also create new tags as needed.

Flag Content

If you find content on the Good Market site that does not meet community guidelines, contribute to the community by flagging it for removal. 

 

There is a flag icon next to feedback, conversations, and replies. Click the flag icon, select a reason that you think the content should be removed, and click submit.
