Good Market operates as a digital commons and not-for-profit social enterprise and is committed to transparency and to protecting privacy.

 

This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) describes how Good Market collects, processes, retains, protects, and discloses personal information when providing its Services (as defined in the Terms of Use), as well as users’ rights, choices, and responsibilites. The Privacy Policy is part of the Terms of Use (the “Terms”). 

 

This Policy does not apply to the practices of third parties who you may choose to share information with when you use the Services. This includes enterprises that sell through the community marketplace (“Sellers”), enterprises with network status that collect additional details about their members (“Networks”), service providers that use Good Market APIs (“API Users”), and links to external third party sites. Please note that the collection and use of your information by these third parties is subject to their own privacy policies and terms. Good Market has no control over and assumes no liability for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third party sites, products, or services. You should understand the privacy and security practices of any third party before you share information with them.

 

1. Collection of Personal Information

In the course of providing Services, Good Market may collect and receive the following categories of personal information:

 

Personal Account Information: An active email address and a user name are required to set up an account. Adding a preferred language, location, and currency is optional but improves the experience on the site. This information can be edited and updated from your personal account page.

 

Enterprise Profile Information: If you apply as an enterprise, the content you add in the application form will appear publicly on your enterprise profile page once your application is approved. If you add a marketplace listing, the content will appear publicly on your profile page, in the marketplace, and in the network marketplaces of any network you participate in. Profile and marketplace listing information can be edited and updated from your enterprise account page.

 

Network Information: If you are an approved enterprise with network status, any members you add to your network will appear publicly in your network directory and their marketplace listings will appear publicly in your network marketplace.

 

Community Information: If you add feedback to a profile page or participate in a forum, your personal account user name or your enterprise account brand name and any content you add will appear publicly.

 

Messages Information: If you contact an enterprise or the Good Market help desk, the content you share and receive will only be visible to the team members of the account you contacted.

 

Seller Information: If you are an approved enterprise that wants to receive payments, you will need to add bank details for payouts. If you want to sell physical products, you will need to add shipping details for order fulfillment.

 

Buyer Information: If you check out as a guest, you will need to add an email address. If you add a physical product to your cart, you will need to add a postal code and country to estimate tax and shipping. If you check out with a physical product, you will need to add a contact name, phone number, delivery address, and billing address. This information will be shared with the Seller(s) you purchase from.

 

Transaction Information: If you buy or sell using Good Market Services, information is collected about the order as part of your transaction history. This includes the buyer’s name, seller’s name, items purchased, purchase prices, and transaction dates.

 

Payment Information: Debit and credit card information is not stored or processed on Good Market servers and is not accessible to Sellers. Good Market is not liable for any unauthorized disclosure of such personal or financial information.

 

Browser and Device Information: Good Market may receive browser and device information including IP address, device type, hardware model, operating system information, and browser language.

 

Activity and Service Usage Information: Good Market may collect information about interactions with its Services, including access times, access times, the use of features and functions, searches and actions, service-related diagnostic, performance, and troubleshooting information.

 

Location Information: Good Market uses geo-location data when you provide permission to do so through your browser or device settings.

 

2. Source of Personal Information

Good Market operates as a digital commons and does not currently rent or sell any data, including aggregated anonymized data. This policy will not be changed unless there are requests from members, a consultation and approval process, and an update to this Privacy Policy.

Since no method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet is 100% secure, Good Market is not able to guarantee security or assume liability for any unlawful or unauthorized disclosure of personal information.

You can edit and delete forum and feedback content using the editing tools associated with that content.

 

You may remove access to precise location data through your browser or device settings. 

 

You may remove and reject cookies through your browser settings. If you remove or reject cookies, it could affect how the Services work for you.

 

You may click the Unsubscribe or Update Preferences links on marketing emails to opt out of marketing emails. You may still receive non-marketing emails as long as you have an active account. Certain communications from Good Market are service related or legally required.

 

You may deactivate your account and delete your information by sending a help chat message or sending an email to hello@infogm.goodmarket.global. Please note that Good Market may need to retain some information, like transaction records, for recordkeeping purposes, to comply with legal obligations, or to protect the safety, security, rights, and integrity of Good Market.
