They design, build, and maintain edible gardens for schools, restaurants, hotels, shopping centers, office buildings, and residential properties and supply fresh herbs, microgreens, and edible flowers to restaurants, bars, and spas. Their Citizen Farm is a space for the local community to learn and grow together. Using a closed loop urban agriculture system, they produce fresh, nutritious vegetables, greens, mushrooms, and more and offer Citizen Box subscriptions for weekly pick up or home delivery. They have worked with the Autism Resource Centre and the Down Syndrome Association of Singapore to provide employment for people with intellectual disabilities. Stemp is committed to fair trade practices and living wages and works with women-owned businesses throughout their supply chain. The Natural Dyer is a Yorkshire-based brand specializing in sustainable fashion and recycled garments for the conscious consumer. They are committed to transparent practices and refuse to design or make fashion at the expense of the environment and natural world. Clothing and accessories are crafted by hand and are generally made to order to reduce waste and provide inclusive sizing. Materials include off-cut and end-of-roll fabrics and secondhand clothing like wedding dresses and suiting. Fabric may be dyed with naturally occurring plant-based pigments, foraged materials, and recycled rainwater. No leather, fur, or toxic mordants are used. Serendipol was set up in 2007 with support from Dr. Bronner’s to produce organic and fair trade certified coconut oil. They now work with more than 1,200 farmers and process 30 million coconuts a year into virgin coconut oil, coconut milk, coconut cream, coconut flour, coconut flakes and chips, and coconut water. All parts of the coconut are used. Their cooperative society includes 25 families involved in cultivation, processing, packaging, and delivery. People with disabilities are able to work from home. The farming families are paid when the raw spices are purchased. Profits are shared equally among the families involved in the processing. Hasinika offers affordable home delivery. They have used plastic packaging to keep prices low for local consumers, but they are working to offer spices in glass bottles and refillable bulk containers.
