Plasticcycle is a social enterprise initiative under the John Keells Group that aims to serve as a catalyst and significantly reduce plastic pollution in Sri Lanka. In partnership with the Sri Lanka Recyclers Association, Plasticcycle has placed specially designed recycling bins throughout Colombo to support responsible disposal of bags, bottles, cups, jars, and other recyclable plastics. Bin locations are available on the Plasticcycle website. Plasticcyle also educates the public on the impacts of plastic waste and works with individuals and businesses to change purchasing patterns and reduce plastic consumption.

Peacock House is a farm in southern Sri Lanka that focuses on rural employment and free range egg production. The farm has been designed so that the birds are able to practice natural behavior. The hens are able to move freely between a large outdoor pasture area and a nighttime shelter. The pasture has been covered with nets and fencing to provide protection from predators. Vines and trees have been planted to provide shade. Peacock House has been verified as free range under a local participatory guarantee system (PGS).\u200b
