Tripty Boutique is an initiative of the Centre for Development & Peace (CDP), which trains, protects, and works to improve the lives of underprivileged and marginalized communities in Meherpur and neighboring districts. They ensure fair and ethical working conditions, provide capacity-building, skills training, and other livelihood support, and improve access to essential services. They resell donated secondhand clothing, shoes, accessories, and housewares online and through their store in South Miami. All proceeds directly support reintegration programs such as in-prison education, employability and life skills training, post-prison work and housing, and trauma-informed substance abuse programs. The LEAP House is located within walking distance of the Dragonfly and provides a safe sanctuary for graduates, so that on the day they leave prison, they have housing, employment, and community. Dragonfly Thrift Boutique reduces waste by recirculating resources within the community. Products that can’t be sold in the boutique are re-donated goods to not-for-profits that help the homeless and underprivileged.
