De Tweede Jeugd uses leftover sourdough bread from local bakers for sandwiches, crostinis, and croutons and partners with Bakkerij Fermento to produce Dubbel Gebakken circular bread, which contains 20 percent leftover bread. They are PSO 30+ certified, which means at least 30 percent of their employees are from vulnerable employment positions and were either long-term unemployed or faced other barriers.
